Samosas and Chai

If you are ever in India or England or for that matter, anywhere in the world, there is a variation of the Samosa, a triangular pastry filled with a savory filling. It is a wonderful street food with as many variations as there are regions within India. We will be making two variations: potato and peas (aloo samosa) and ground beef and peas (keema samosa). We will also be making a mint chutney (pudina) and a tamarind chutney (imli). And what goes better with freshly fried samosas than a hot cup of chai, the real version made with milk, sugar, loose leaf tea, and spices. Every family has their own version with their own combination of spices and we will be making my family's version with cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. Come learn about the Indian culture and our go-tos. We will make and eat our samosas and chai and you will make one dozen samosas to take home along with spice mix to make chai at home.
